Padraig MacMiadhachain (Irish 1929 – 2017)born in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland. He studied at Belfast College of Art, National College of Art in Dublin, then studied at the Akademia Sztuk (Academy of Art), Kracow. In 1953 he settled in Swanage, Dorset. The vibrant Ice Cream series of paintings were made after several visits to Argentina. I remember my husband, Peter Joyce, selecting and hanging a bank of 9 in a display for Bournemouth University, when he was Art consultant for their Art Loan Collection.
His paintings are in many private and public collections.
